Movin' and Groovin'

Local girls and boys in the third, fourth, and fifth grade participate in a number of activities that illustrate the importance of cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition, and nutrition.  Participants will learn also how to use pedometers and how to incorporate physical activity into their daily lives.

The Department of Kinesiology’s professional fraternity, PEK, volunteers to help run this exciting event.

Movin' and Groovin' will be held from 9 am until 4 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2009. If you are interested in signing up your child, please contact the Morrison-Bruce Center (morrisonbrucecenter@jmu.edu).
