Jesse R. McKee is an Assistant Professor of Justice Studies. He received his PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Old Dominion University. Prior to that, Jesse received his BS and MA degrees in Sociology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. Jesse joined the JMU faculty in 2013 and teaches Research Methods and a special topics course on Domestic Violence. His research interests include violence against women, structural equation modeling for criminological theory testing, sociological/criminological theories on crime, and crimes of the state (e.g. genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes).
