Celebrate Earth Day at our GO GREEN Ride-and-Drive Expo!
~ Green Choices for Green Drivers ~
Saturday, April 19th from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Convocation Center Parking Lot
Ever picture yourself driving an electric truck? How about a Segway? Well now you can! Experience firsthand a wide selection of advanced vehicles, including: Electric Trucks, Segways, Electric ATVs, the Toyota Prius hybrid, Toyota Highlander hybrid, Toyota Camry hybrid, and more! So whether you are a JMU student, faculty, or staff member, stop by on Saturday and take a look, take a spin, or talk to the experts.
But that's not all... Additional concurrent events and activities include:
- FREE light bulb distribution. Don't forget to stop by and claim your free compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL)! CFLs use about 75% less energy and last up to 10 times longer than standard incandescent bulbs. Stop by early-supplies are limited!
- Hands-on learning stations for kids. Introduce green living to your kids through interactive, hands-on learning stations. Make soap from biodiesel byproducts, create wind energy, ride a vehicle simulator and learn about tire inflation.
- Music and prizes. Q101-FM will be on-site and raffling away environmental prize packs full of books, t-shirts, movie tickets, and more!
All events and activities listed are free and open to the public. So grab a friend or bring the kids. We promise-going green has never been this much fun!
