Chris Worth is coming to speak 4/6 at 7pm in Miller 1101

JMU SDS is sponsoring speaker Christ Worth, who is the founder and director of The Enable Project and Independability. The Enable Project is a grassroots organization driven by and working for the needs, rights and dignity of people with disabilities. Independability is a think-tank developing and marking products designed to accommodate the needs of disabled persons. Chris himself is affected with cerebral palsy and was misdiagnosed as having mental retardation until he was fifteen. He lives in Huntington, WV where he has recently left his position as an instructor in the Art dpt. at Marshall University to devote more time to advocacy and community organizing.
