JMU Dining Services wants YOUR original ideas. Now accepting entries for the following contests:

2009-2010 Recycle Mug Contest
Deadline: Wednesday, April 8, 2009
Submit a design for the 2009-2010 official JMU Dining Servies Recycle Mug. Entries will be displayed and voted on by the general student population. The winning design will be decided by a majority of votes from the general student population. Please stop by Gibbons Hall, Entrance 7 or contact Katrina Croswell at croswekm@jmu.edu for complete rules and guidelines.

Recipe and Story Contest
Deadline: Wednesday, April 15, 2009
Submit a favorite recipe and personal story explaining why it’s special. Recipes and stories will be featured at the New East Campus Dining Hall Fall 2009 semester. Entries will be judged by JMU Dining based on the recipe’s uniqueness, regional and/or international interest, and its special meaning. Winners will work with the East Campus Dining Hall chef to adapt the recipe to serve hundreds and will make a video recording sharing their recipe and story that will run on the screens at the new dining hall. Entry forms may be picked up and submitted in person at Gibbons Hall Entrance 7 or by contacting Liz Thompson at thomp3ea@jmu.edu.

East Campus Dining and C-Store Naming Contest
Deadline: Friday, April 17, 2009
The tastes and aromas of JMU’s new dining hall will amaze you! Offerings include brick oven pizza, home-style entrees, deli selections on fresh-baked bread, salads, international dishes including Indian cuisine from an authentic Tandoori oven, and pastries and desserts baked on the spot.
Submit a name for the new dining hall and/or c-store at the East Campus Dining building. Entries will be judged by JMU Dining based creativity and association to JMU’s traditions. Entry forms may be picked up and submitted in person at Gibbons Hall Entrance 7 or by contacting Liz Thompson at thomp3ea@jmu.edu.
