Environment Minors Approved

The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the approval of three minors about the environment: Environmental Studies, Environmental Science and Environmental Management. These cross disciplinary minors approach environmental knowledge from a variety of perspectives, and they are united by a common capstone experience. The capstone, ENVT 400, brings students from the different minors together for a collaborative research experience that is both applied and theoretical. The capstone will be taught by a faculty team from two different areas, and each offering of the capstone will focus on a different environmental theme or topic.

The minors will appear in the Fall 2009 catalog, and students from any major can declare an environment minor.
