From: Financial Aid & Scholarships

Need help paying for college? Most aid comes from the federal government which the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid (FSA) office administers.

Applying for student aid is FREE; that's why the application you use is called the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you need help completing the FAFSA, you can get that help free, too. You don't have to pay anyone for assistance.

The JMU Frequently Asked Questions are broken down into five categories. Sample questions from each category are listed but there are lots of others on the site. If you need further assistance, please contact our office by phone at (540) 568-7820, fax at (540) 568-7994, e-mail at fin_aid@jmu.edu, in person on the 3rd floor in Warren Hall, by Virtual Counselor at http://www.jmu.edu/finaid, or by mail at James Madison University, Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, MSC 3519, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22807.
