Students, Faculty and Staff:
JMU will be conducting a test of the comprehensive emergency response communication systems on Sunday, September 16, at 3 p.m. At this time the new siren system will be tested, an audible message will be broadcast across the PA system, a blast e-mail message will be sent and a test text message/voice message will be sent to the cell phones of all individuals who have enrolled for emergency notification through either e-campus (students) or J-ESS (faculty and staff).
If you have not already signed up to receive emergency notifications via your cell phone, you need to provide your cell phone information to the University using e-campus (students) or J-ESS (faculty and staff). Instructions are available via e-campus and J-ESS tutorials available on the respective login pages.
If you have any questions regarding this test, please reply to this e-mail.
Thanks,
Lee Shifflett
Chief of Police
