HARRISONBURG – The Edith J. Carrier Arboretum at James Madison University will hold its annual fall bulb sale Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 4 and 5, beginning at 9 a.m. both days in the arboretum.

John Clayton Society members will be admitted at 8 a.m. Saturday.

This year's selection of bulbs includes daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, fritillaria, iris, croci, alliums, wood anemone and many others. The sale also features a Purple-and-Gold 2000 Collection including: hyacinth "City of Harlem," hyacinth "Peter Stuyvesant," crocus vernus "Flower Record," crocus vernus "Yellow Mammoth," tulipa humilis "Persian Pearl," and Dutch iris "Rosario."

Gardeners should arrive early for the best selection. The market-day sale will also feature arboretum note cards, the arboretum cookbook, plant labels and plaques.
