The Office of Sponsored Programs, in collaboration with the Center for Instructional Technology, is pleased to present an informative, in-person workshop on the Institutional Review Board this fall. The session is titled IRB: What Is It & How Does It Work? The session will provide a comprehensive overview of IRB, including background information and cases defining why IRB is important and how it protects human subjects. The workshop will also cover how to determine if a project requires IRB approval, what review processes exist, and the IRB submission process. Any faculty or staff member who is interested in learning more about the process or who is considering any type of research work of any nature is welcome to attend!
There will be two fall sessions. The first session is on September 17th from 9:00-10:00 in Carrier Library , Room 37. The second session is scheduled for October 13th from 10:00-11:00 in the East Campus Library, Room 5308.
