All break hours, including summer, are family hours. During these times only, immediate family are free of charge. Immediate family for JMU faculty, staff, and students include: spouse, dependents (children, foster children, step children), siblings, parents, grandparents, and grandchildren.
Children 15 and under must remain in the company of an adult or their host at all times while in the facility. Children 16 and over must remain in the facility with host, but do not have to stay in the same programming area. They may participate in any area except for continuing programs (i.e. intramural sports, group fitness classes).
Children must be at least 14 years of age to use the areas that are designated Fitness 1 & 2. Orientations are required for 14-16 year olds. These sessions are geared specifically towards adolescents and fitness training. Orientations will be offered during Family Hours.
