Call for Proposals - JMU Diversity Conference

From: Office of the President

Sponsored by the Office of the President, the annual diversity conference brings together the campus to focus on issues, topics and speakers related to diversity. This year’s theme is “Diversity in Action” and the date is April 6, 2009. The Conference Planning Committee invites you to share your expertise with your peers and colleagues through a presentation during the concurrent sessions at the conference.

If you have an idea for conference session, please consider completing the presentation submission template, which can be accessed through www.jmu.edu/oeo . Your involvement is what allows for the generation of innovation and action towards creating a beneficially diverse environment on campus.

New this year, we will also be accepting poster presentations. Posters will be displayed in the hallway outside the Highlands room throughout the day of the conference. Poster presenters are asked to be present to answer questions on their posters during the continental breakfast reception from 8-8:30 a.m. that morning. If you are interested in submitting a poster presentation, poster guidelines can also be accessed through www.jmu.edu/oeo .

Ideas for sessions or posters may include:
