MAHATMA GANDHI STATUE UNVEILED

On Oct. 2, a bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi was unveiled and dedicated at JMU. A gift from the Government of India in recognition of the work of the Mahatma Gandhi Center for Global Nonviolence at JMU, the statue is the first of Mahatma Gandhi in Virginia and the third at a college campus in the U.S. See pictures from the dedication.

2008 MetroDC CRABFEST

More than 650 JMU alumni, friends, and volunteers joined us (despite the rain) for food and fun at the 14th annual MetroDC Crabfest. Click here to view photos from the event.

FOOTBALL FRENZY HITS THE ROAD

Join the JMU Alumni Association and JMU Duke Club as we host tailgates on the road this season.

Games include:

Oct. 25: JMU @ Villanova
Nov. 22: JMU @ Towson

Tailgates begin two hours prior to kickoff and include food, non-alcoholic beverages and fun! A cash bar is also available. Make your plans today!
