Kevin Stees, a JMU faculty member and conductor of the Brass Band, has presented solo performances at universities, conferences and workshops throughout the United States, including the U.S. Army Band Tuba–Euphonium Conference, Southeastern Tuba–Euphonium Conference and the International Tuba–Euphonium Conference. He has been a finalist in several solo competitions and was a prize winner in the Second International Brass Congress Tuba Solo Competition. He is co–founder/director of the Skyline Brass Music Festival held each summer on the JMU campus. He is a clinician for Custom Music Company. He has served on the editorial staff of the TUBA Journal and has been a Keystone Brass Institute (Rafael Mendez Brass Institute) faculty member.

Lori Piitz enjoys a performance career that includes solo, four–hand and chamber music. She has performed in numerous festivals and venues, including the Festival of the Sound in Canada, the Schubert Club in Minneapolis, Lincoln Center and Steinway Hall in New York City, and the Schleswig–Holstein Festival in Germany. Piitz received her doctorate from Indiana University where she studied with Menahem Pressler.

Ticket prices: $8–$10 Advance tickets can be purchased online, by phone or in person at the box office (Mon.–Fri., 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. or 1½ hours prior to performance). Major credit cards, cash, checks and JACards accepted.
JMU student tickets: $4 in person Box Office only with ID. Cash only 1½ hours prior to performance

Mailing Tickets/Will Call — Tickets that are ordered more than two weeks in advance of a performance will be mailed to the address on file. Ticket orders received less than two weeks prior to a performance will be held for pickup at the Will Call window.
