Chris Carrillo is a Conn-Selmer trumpet artist and Principal Trumpet of the New Orchestra of Washington, D.C. He joined the faculty of JMU in 2009 where he teaches studio trumpet, coaches chamber music and performs with the Madison Brass, the faculty brass quintet-in-residence. He has performed with numerous ensembles including the Dallas Wind Symphony on the Grammy-nominated Garden of Dreams, the Music of David Maslanka, the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, and as a guest performer with the “President’s Own” Marine Band Brass Quintet. He spent five seasons as a member of the Corpus Christi and Victoria Symphony Orchestras, and he as performed as a substitute and extra with the Austin, Abilene, Charlottesville and Jacksonville symphonies. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and City Recital Hall in Sydney, Australia as a featured soloist and chamber musician.

JMU student tickets: Advance tickets — $5 discount tickets in person at the Forbes Center Box Office only with ID. One ticket per ID. Student tickets are not available online. Cash only 1½ hours prior to performance.
Mailing Tickets/Will Call — Tickets that are ordered more than two weeks in advance of a performance will be mailed to the address on file. Ticket orders received less than two weeks prior to a performance will be held for pick-up at the Will Call window.
