“One of the few modern dance choreographers...still able to convey depth of emotion through movement.” — The New York Times
For more than 30 years, West Virginia Dance Company has been enriching lives through dance. The Company consists of highly trained, professional dancers whose repertoire includes works influenced by West Virginia’s rich cultural heritage. The program features an imaginative presentation of community life in Appalachia set to the unforgettable country music of Patty Loveless. The New York Times says this American masterpiece, created with soulful choreography by Doug Varone, is “filled with surprises.” This electrifying evening also includes a new work choreographed to the much-anticipated music of The Dueling Fiddlers, written by hot-rock violinists Adam DeGraff and Russell Fallstad. This blend of entertaining and thought-provoking work is sure to generate enthusiasm in audiences of all ages. Visit www.wvdanceco.com for more information.
