The ISAT Program
The ISAT program provides a curriculum that integrates the study of science, mathematics, technology, society, and business to develop a graduate with unique professional qualifications. ISAT is focused on preparing students to work in today’s and tomorrow’s technology driven business.
Our ISAT Students are educated to be:
- creative problem solvers,
- critical thinkers,
- technical communicators,
- collaborative team members, and
- autonomous life-long learners.
Our ISAT Graduates are unique in:
- Having breadth of knowledge and skills across a variety of scientific and technological disciplines;
- Formal training in collaborative and leadership methods,
- Problem-solving techniques from many disciplines, and the use of the computer as a problem solving tool;
- The ability to integrate scientific and technological factors with political, social, economic, and ethical considerations in creative problem solving.
ISAT Students focus on the following areas of strategic importance:
- Biotechnology
- Energy
- Environment
- Information and Knowledge Management, Telecommunications, GIS
- Engineering/Manufacturing
- Health Systems
Scientific theory is thus combined with hands-on experience designed to motivate and stimulate interest as well as impart learning. Graduates receive the Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Science and Technology.
