“Through the Affiliate Program, with the assistance of JMU ISAT faculty and students, CAD drawings of the electric and acoustic guitar stands were securely stored on an FTP site provided by JMU. The preliminary model was fabricated on the rapid prototyping machine in the basement of ISAT. As an affiliate, Old Dog has many ideas for ISAT students and faculty members to bring to fruition through senior projects. Projects are a great opportunity for students to experience the real-world aspects of patenting, marketing, manufacturing and distribution.”

Student teams came up with manufacturing process ideas that caught the attention of E-Z Cork, LLC owners.
