Meeting and making new friends over meals
One of the goals of Transitions is for you to meet and make new friends

Meeting others in the same situation as yours is comforting
U.S. students who live abroad are more than welcome to attend Transitions.

Transitions is very interactive
Who wants to volunteer?

It is sometimes easier to work together to find out the answer
You will not be given all of the answers to your questions, as we also want you to rely on the resources around you.

A sense of humor is always helpful
One of the experiences you will gain at JMU is working in groups

One of the Transitions events is a play about the life of an intl. student at JMU
The LINKers perform on stage the play about the life of an international student at JMU

Trip to the bank
Setting up a bank account is a little bit more challenging for international students, as a result a trip to the bank is organized during Transitions.

Welcome picnic activities are fun
Enjoy the Welcome picnic!
