Fall 2012 Transitions Arrival Form


 

Plan your trip wisely and accordingly:

arrow The International Student and Scholar Services office will provide 3 special JMU buses from Washington DC International Airport [IAD] to JMU on Sunday August 19 at 10am, 2pm and 5pm. This is a special offer which is limited to those attending Transitions. Please note that no transportation will be provided by JMU or our office to transport accompanying passengers back to the airport.

arrow The 10am JMU Bus [J] will be picking up JMU students from the DoubleTree by Hilton Sterling - Dulles Airport. A special rate of $69 per night has been arranged for anyone staying over in this hotel [make sure to ask for or to mention: Study Group rate]. The DoubleTree By Hilton Sterling hotel provides a free courtesy bus to and from the airport from Door 2, Curb 2A or Door 6, Curb 2.

arrow If you should need to arrive earlier in Harrisonburg, you should consider taking a connecting flight to Staunton/ Shenandoah Regional Airport [SHD] as there is no convenient and cheap way to get from IAD to Harrisonburg at this time of the year. Once in Harrisonburg, we recommend that you stay at the Best Western hotel due to its convenient location and the special JMU rate of $60 [make sure to ask for or to mention: JMU student rate].

As you decide which JMU Bus to take (below) keep in mind that you should add an extra hour after your expected arrival time (considering that going through customs and immigration will take a considerable amount of time).

I request a ride in the 2pm JMU Bus [M] which will pick me up then on Sunday from the IAD- Dulles International Airport in the International Arrivals Area.
I request a ride in the 5pm JMU Bus [U] which will pick me up then on Sunday from the IAD- Dulles International Airport in the International Arrivals Area.
