International Student Career Day
International Student Career Day (ISCD) is a one day program specifically designed to assist international students who are considering pursuing internships or jobs in the US after graduation. ISCD will answer questions such as:
- How can I find a job in the U.S. after I graduate?
- How should I begin looking? What do I need to know?
- Whom can I talk with to help me with this process?
- How will my immigration status affect my opportunities?
The ISCD program brings in experts to cover topics such as resume writing, the job search process, Optional Practical Training (OPT), and work visas. A panel of international student alumni from JMU who now work in the US will also give you their personal perspectives and offer advice. The program ends with a Networking Dinner sponsored by the local Rotary Club. The Career and Academic Planning office will also provide on site resume reviews and interview practice.
