Festival Student and Conference Center Ballroom

The goal of International Student Career Day (ISCD) is to provide relevant career development information and guidance to international students who are seeking jobs and/or internships in the United States after graduation. ISCD will answer questions such as:

  • How can I find a job in the U.S. after I graduate?
  • How should I  begin looking?  What do I need to know?
  • Whom can I talk with to help me with this process?
  • How will my immigration status affect my opportunities?

The ISCD program brings in experts from Career and Academic Planning, immigration law firms, and International Student and Scholar Services to cover topics such as resume writing, the job search process, Optional Practical Training (OPT), and work visas. A panel of international student alumni from JMU who now live and work in the US will also share their personal experiences and offer advice to future graduates.

The registration deadline is 8am on September 15!
