ISLC in Cairo

The American University in Cairo has sponsored an International Student Leadership Conference for the past ten years and this year they asked us if we wanted to participate in an exchange with them. You may have met Samah Dissi in Harrisonburg during our conference - she is a student at AUC and was able to participate in our ISLC. The day after our conference ended, Delo Blough, Tom Culligan and Betsy Anderson from JMU went to Cairo to participate in the ISLC on the other side of the world. It was great! Below are just a few photos to give you an idea of what we saw and experienced.

debating an issue
The participants were serious about debating issues such as, "What will garner more support for a leader - spirituality or materialism?"

The Nile River
The Nile River is beautiful.

Pyramids and group photo
Of course a trip to Cairo wouldn't be complete without seeing the pyramids.
