Agnes Choi

Enrollment Coordinator

Agnes Choi joined the oIP in August 2007 as enrollment assistant and became enrollment coordinator in 2009. She earned her B.S. degree in Computer Science and Statistics from Chonnam National University in the city of light, Gwangju, Korea. After graduation, she worked for two companies in Seoul for five more years as a batch/online computer programmer.

She came to the U.S. in August 1988 and earned the Certificate of Business Communication Technology and Medical Office Assistant. In 2009 she received the Bachelor of Individualized Study cum laude in Computerized Health Service Administration from JMU. She is interested in public and personal health services around the world.

Agnes is a member of Pinnacle, the National Honor Society for Adult Non-Traditional Students, and the National Scholars Honor Society.

Her diverse international experience, knowledge, and desire to work made her to join the JMU OIP. Agnes is responsible for managing the international study program enrollment process, including data verification and maintenance, communications with students and faculty, and the reporting of participation status. She wants to become a reliable gatekeeper in study abroad program application processing.

Agnes likes the proverb, “Where there is a will, there is a way.”
