Sarah Nutter began her work with the Office of International Programs in September 2012 as the Administrative Assistant and moved into the Study Abroad Coordinator position in July 2013. She has been a resident of the valley all her life, where she was born and raised in Broadway, Virginia. She attended Broadway High School and graduated in 2008. After high school, she took business classes at National College and Blue Ridge Community College and is currently enrolled in JMU in the Adult Degree Program. Once completed, her degree will be Bachelors of Science with a concentration of Human Resources and Business Management. Prior to joining oIP, she was an administrative assistant at VMRC for many years.
She married in August 2010 and currently lives in Timberville, Virginia with her husband and three dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. Sarah enjoys camping with her family and being outdoors. Sarah enjoys basketball and softball and still remains active in both sports. She referees basketball seasonally for Rockingham Recreation Department. When she was younger, she traveled a lot with her family throughout the United States. In the future, she plans to travel to the many beautiful cities around the world.
