Ms. Delores (Delo) Blough is the Associate Executive Director for Office of International Programs and provides leadership and oversight for International Student & Scholar Services. Delo earned her B.S. in Social Work from Eastern Mennonite University and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to joining JMU, she served as the Director of International Student Services and Coordinator of Diversity Initiatives at Eastern Mennonite University for seven years. While an attorney in private practice from 1988 to 1995, Delo specialized in immigration law. In addition, Delo has significant experience in the field of conflict management and mediation training. She has been involved in projects in the Harrisonburg community promoting diversity, multicultural awareness, and conflict management.
Dr. Jennifer E. Coffman (Associate Executive Director, International Programs; Associate Professor, Integrated Science and Technology) and Delores Blough (Director, International Student and Scholar Services, International Programs) received $5,360 from Proctor & Gamble for the 2014 International Student Leadership Conference. The grant will help to strengthen business leadership learning and enhance business-oriented programming by implementing “Ethical Business Leadership” as a workshop topic at the conference.
Delores A. Blough (Director, International Student and Scholar Services) and Thomas P. Lavenir (International Assistant Director, International Student and Scholar Services) received $9,791 from Procter & Gamble to build conference attendees’ skills in ethical leadership, conflict resolution, creative goal setting and diversity of thought and action, while creating a valuable educational resource for future use at JMU.
