Academic Program
Spend approximately approximately 3 weeks in May exploring Central
Europe. This intensive program places students in Prague with travel to Dresden, Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, and several Czech villages.
Credits: 6 credit hours.
Activities will include:
- Meetings with local officials and businesspersons
- Attending local concerts
- Touring “Crazy Ludwig's” Castle in Bavaria
- Experiencing the music and story of Mozart in his ‘home’ of Salzburg (not to mention some of the sites from the Sound of Music)
- Sailing down the Danube
- Visits to incredible museums and palaces
- Viewing the crown jewels of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Bavarian Royal Family
- Visits to several local manufacturing plants (VW’s Glass Plant, Meissen Porcelain and a Czech lead crystal factory)
- Tours of the United Nations European Headquarters in Vienna
- Opportunities to discover and experience the life and culture of the Czech Republic
