Location Description

Los Angeles, CA. Students live and work in the entertainment capital of the world in Oakwood Corporate Housing. Oakwood is located in Burbank and houses professionals working at nearby Warner Brothers, Universal, Paramount and Disney studios and major television networks. The Oakwood complex includes two large swimming pools, a convenience store, an exercise facility, tennis courts and classrooms.

Program Costs

Tuition, plus a program fee. This covers furnished housing (including linen and all utensils) for 8 weeks, courses, textbooks, some group meals and some outings.

Accommodations

Students will be staying in Oakwood Corporate Apartments for the duration of the program. Some meals will be provided (several lunches or dinners per week), Participants will be required to cover meals with personal spending money.

In addition to the oIP application form, students are required to submit the following material(s):

  • A supplemental essay addressing the following question:
    " What are your immediate and long term goals with respect to the entertainment industry?"
  • Attend an Interview with the program director
  • Submit a completed Faculty recommendation form which can also be found by following the link to Applications and Forms.

The program is available to rising Juniors or Seniors who meet the minimum GPA of 2.0.

Typically this program appeals to students in Media Arts, Theatre, and literature, but since entertainment is an industry it needs students interested in law and business, and music.
