Course Offerings

THEA 449 London Theatre (3 credits).
This course will be taken by all institute participants and taught by JMU faculty members in residence.  THEA 449 is the study of London Theatre, and consideration is given to current productions of contemporary works.  The course will emphasize production elements including acting, directing, design, writing and economic considerations.

DANC 490 Special Studies in Dance (2 credits) or
THEA 490 Special Studies in Theatre (2 credits)
Students will attend two classes each week taught by London Institute guest instructors, plus additional classes each week from a variety of instructors throughout the London theatre and dance scene. DANC 490 and THEA 490 students will meet together each week for a master class in an area of shared relevance.  In addition, all London Institute students will participate in group outings to important cultural sites throughout the city.
