Life at Madison House

You will live in Madison House, JMU’s student hostel on Gower Street, across from the University of London and Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and within walking distance of most of London's major points of interest. Only JMU students live in Madison House, which is managed by two resident managers under the auspices of JMU Residence Life.
This historic building, built in 1789, is well furnished and provides a TV lounge, laundry facilities, a library and study room with computers, and dining room. Students receive breakfast every day in Madison House, and a weekly food stipend. Students cook many of their own meals, in the Madison House kitchen, and enjoy numerous inexpensive restaurants, including the University Union, in the neighborhood.
The Madison House Library, the Nina Gallagher Room, has a sizable collection of books related to the London courses, and the program provides other books and material necessary to your studies.
