JMU in Turkey and Greece

Summer 2011: May 13 to May 31
Program Location
Istanbul provides a perfect setting for the discussion of inter-organizational trade issues today and throughout history. The region is at the crossroads of nearly every historic empire, displays fantastic Roman and Byzantine infrastructure, and shifts from the strength of Ottoman trade to the evolution of Ataturk’s business power. As for uniqueness, today Turkey boasts one of the world's leading emerging economies despite being excluded from the EU for many years. The country also offers students a safe and unique opportunity to experience a culture where capitalism and Islam mix successfully. In brief, where else can a student spend the day in both Europe and Asia without leaving the host city?
Destinations on the itinerary include: Istanbul, Turkey; Mediterranean Coast of Turkey; Greek Islands of Rhodes and Kos Ephesus, Turkey.
