Survey Results – EUPS First Class Graduating July 2007

The EUPS program helped in several ways.  The time spent living and traveling abroad as well as the concentration on international affairs helped in my recent job hunt.  I noticed that interviewers were pleased and focused on the time spent overseas. And the degree in an international setting only improved my chances of a position within the Global Support Office.

The degree, and more importantly, the program location displayed my interest in international affairs as well as learning about other cultures.  Hiring managers were able to see that I was open-minded and that I was able to mix easily with people from different cultures, religions, etc.  Many hiring managers were impressed by the fact that I had lived abroad and thus received a “global education.”  The activities of the program further demonstrated my ability to handle a wide variety of tasks in a competitive position.

Seeing that I had a master’s degree helped employers see that I value education and have a strong work ethic and a global perspective.

I think it helped a lot.  It is a unique program that helped both me and my résumé stand out, even before a possible employer met me.
