Reuben Kline is currently a Max Weber Post-Doctoral Fellow in Social and Political Sciences at the European University Institute in Florence. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science in August 2010 from the University of California, Irvine with a concentration in Political Economy.
His primary work is in Comparative Politics, but he also does work in American politics and methodology. His chief interests are in political economy, especially with regard to corruption; experimental social science; party systems; public opinion and applied social choice. His dissertation, Essays in Political Economy, explored a range of interdisciplinary topics from the measurement of party systems, to social choice, to the experimental study of bribery. He has published work on party systems, public opinion, and American political institutions. Previously, Dr. Kline worked in Washington D.C. as an international trade policy analyst, both in private consulting and at the Inter-American Development Bank.
