Anne Rasmussen
Anne Rasmussen has studied political science, political economy, and business economics at the Universities of Copenhagen, Essex and Aarhus and at the Copenhagen and Aarhus Business Schools. She has been a visiting scholar at The George Washington University and the American Political Science Association in Washington, DC. She has taught courses in the political system of the European Union, the framework conditions for doing business in the European Union, comparative politics and parliamentary studies. She is an active member of the academic community and serves as co-convener of the European Legislative Politics Research Group (ELPRG, www.elprg.eu). She has international project experience and has received several research grants from, among others, the Danish Research Council, the European Commission, the European Consortium for Political Research and the British Council. In addition to her academic activity, she has work experience in both the private and public policy sectors (RAMBOLL Management, the Danish Ministry of Finance and the European Commission).
Rasmussen’s present research focuses on the interplay between the institutions of the European Union and how the European Union affects interest group behavior, national administration and national policies. She has a strong academic interest in research design and methodology, as well as in the US political system. Her Ph.D. dissertation was a study of delegation, which examined the political influence of conference committees in the legislative processes of the European Union and the United States.
