ACCEPTANCE CHECKLIST...

Now that you have received your acceptance notice, here are your next steps...

Please follow ALL the instructions below to respond to your acceptance notice. The information that follows will direct you in the steps it takes to accept, decline and to access other program related materials.

TO ACCEPT - complete all numbered steps

Please follow the numbered outline to complete the required steps by the due date on your acceptance letter:

1. Read Participation Agreement (form here)
   
2. Sign Intent to Participate form (form here)
   
3. Pay the $3,300 non-refundable deposit either online or by mail.
   (charge put on your account upon acceptance)
   
   Online payments must be made using the deposit site listed here.
   Follow these instructions: log on to the University Business Office Deposit site and follow directions at http://www.jmu.edu/ubo/depositpay.shtml, click on EU Masters Program Deposit in the drop down box.
   Anyone can make the deposit for you with your student ID
   
   OR by Mail or hand deliver check to UBO as noted on the Statement of Intent form. Make check payable to: James Madison University
   (print or ask for a receipt to turn in with other forms)
   
   
4. THOSE WITHOUT PASSPORTS SHOULD APPLY NOW. (information here)
   
5. Financial Aid Information (information here)
   
6. Insurance:  As you will see from the Participation Agreement, and as later visa
   material will indicate, you do need to have adequate health insurance.  For our
   undergraduate study abroad students, we provide coverage (as part of their
   fees) through CISI.  If your own family's policy will no longer cover you, you can
   elect to buy CISI coverage by filling out the form. (form here)
   * Note that your program requires 10 months of coverage.
   
   Another option is to investigate other companies listed by the U.S. Department
   of State. (Companies list)
   
   
7. Hand deliver or mail Intent form together with deposit receipt to the address below so they are RECEIVED by the due date.

If you choose not to accept the space, please email us at studyabroad@jmu.edu as soon as possible and the $3,300 deposit charge will be promptly removed from your account.
