A-to-Z Index

What we are

The JMU Interfaith Coalition IS:

1. An organization whose goal is to promote:

  • mutual understanding among the religions on the JMU campus, an opportunity to learn how a person from another religion understands himself or herself and his or her religion, and an opportunity for all to replace ignorance with knowledge.

  • good will among religions on campus; this happens automatically when people get to know each other.

  • cooperation among religions on campus.

2. An organization looking to do concrete service projects on campus or in the community together in interfaith teams. In addition to providing a service, this will be a good way to get to know people of other religions informally.

3. An organization that is still forming, so your ideas and your energy can definitely help determine what it will be.
