Institute for National Security Analysis

“The principal reason a nation becomes secure is by becoming secure in its national reasoning."

The Institute for National Security Analysis (INSA) at James Madison University was established in Fall of 2008 to discover, develop, and deliver analytic methods for intelligence and national security. INSA seeks to engage the analytical communities in government and private industry with the most relevant analytic methods through original research, curriculum development, presentations and publications, and placement of uniquely educated aspiring analysts into new positions in the intelligence field. INSA partners include government agencies and private corporations seeking to improve the breadth and depth of their analytic methods and the rigor of their analytical workforce.
