Inclusive Early Childhood | Elementary Education | Special Education | Middle Education

Teaching licensure in these four areas is managed by the College of Education. They are considered minors to your IdLS major and require a 5th, graduate year to complete the licensure process:

For advising help about all things teaching licensure, contact your education minor advisor. That information is on your Student Center or available at the links above.

The Education Support Center

The teaching licensure process can be daunting. So you should check in with your education minor advisor once a semester for guidance through the licensure process. That person isn't your only resource, however.

The Education Support Center in Memorial Hall is your central advising hub for

  • advising support for admissions process into teacher education program
  • practicum and student teaching information
  • applying for a teaching license
  • preparing for PRAXIS and VCLA testing.

The ESC is open Monday-Friday; hours are listed on their webpage.
