James Madison University wordmark standards

The James Madison University wordmark must be displayed according to these standards.

  • The James Madison University wordmark shall be legible.
  • The James Madison University wordmark typeface and proportions shall not be altered.
  • The James Madison logo typeface shall be used in the James Madison University wordmark.
  • The name "James Madison University" is a federally registered trademark and always shall be accompanied
    by "®" except when it is used in body text.
  • The "®" following the wordmark shall be approximately one-third the point size of the wordmark, yet never
    shall be larger than 12 points.
  • The James Madison University wordmark shall be displayed in black, purple, gold or white.
