Policy
When used consistently, the JMU Identity System
will promote and protect the university's image while accurately
conveying its message. The university's mission statement,
editorial style, graphics, photography, school colors and Web
presence are all integral parts of this JMU Identity System.
The Identity Web site is the authoritative source
for the JMU Identity System. If you produce official JMU
communications refer to this site so that your projects do not
violate JMU Policy
1502. It states: "Communications that do not conform to the JMU
Identity System can be restricted or terminated." The portions of
this system that must be followed are expressed as STANDARDS.
Standards are university policy. The university reserves the right
to reject materials that violate or deviate from these standards.
Recommendations are expressed as GUIDELINES.
