Employee Ombudsperson FAQ's | Additional Resources

Your employee ombudsperson listens while you

  • voice concerns
  • seek to evaluate situations
  • organize thoughts to figure out options
  • talk through problems
  • explore mediation as a means to resolve conflict
  • gain an understanding of university policies and procedure

The ombudsperson is a resource for all employees within the JMU community and is only a phone call or
e-mail away when workplace issues and concerns arise. Consider talking to your ombudsperson when you have a question, dispute, or other concern and wish to discuss the matter with a neutral third party. The ombudsperson does not serve as an employee advocate, but will consider all questions and concerns in an objective and impartial manner.
