Introduction

JMU's Office of Human Resources has prepared this handbook to provide information about many of the benefits, policies and procedures that apply to classified employees at the university. The employee will find information pertaining to standards of conduct, performance measures, compensation, leave accrual and usage, university holidays, conflict resolution resources and employee benefits. While this compilation is not to be considered complete, it does include information on personnel matters frequently of interest to employees. 

An employee with questions concerning personnel matters of a departmental nature should speak with his\her immediate supervisor. Questions relating to state and university policies, employee benefits and matters not contained here should be directed to JMU's Office of Human Resources.
