DHRM Employee Discounts
The Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) at its discretion advertises information received from vendors that provide discounts to all state employees. Discounts include auto repairs, education opportunities, entertainment activities, financial services, reduced hotel rates, fitness center and a list of telephone providers that offer state employee discounts. Discounted products and services are provided at no cost to the Commonwealth of Virginia and are listed on the DHRM Employee Discount website.

Abenity - New Employee Perks Program
Human Resources is pleased to introduce a new offering, Abenity, to our employee-rich benefits.  Abenity is a perks program which provides over 200,000 local and national discounts to program members, amounting to well over $4,500 in personal consumer savings.  By offering these discounts, the university continues to strive to promote an enriched work-life balance. We hope you will find many uses for these discounts. Simply log onto the Abenity website and register by using your JMU email.  Once you are registered, you will be eligible to receive the discounts either through your mobile phone or by downloading the discount.

Computer Loan Program
All full-time, non-probationary university employees are eligible to participate in the Computer Loan Program. This is an interest free loan available to purchase hardware, software, or other computer accessories. All merchandise must be purchased from the university bookstore. The loan amount cannot exceed the purchase total and the repayment period must be within twenty-four months. A payroll deduction will be applied to your pay advice to repay the loan. For further details about this program contact Business Services.

Credit Unions
The university offers two credit unions which you and your family members may join. Both Commonwealth One Federal Credit Union and the Virginia Credit Union, Inc. are full-service financial institutions offering a variety of competitive savings and loan products.

Employee Travel Benefit Program
The Employee Travel Benefit Program is a wonderful opportunity for members to experience international travel at greatly discounted prices. Each year Travel Counselors offers two international travel opportunities for staff, faculty, retirees and their families or guests of an Employee Travel Benefit participant. Most of these trips are one week in length, though many times travelers may add-on additional days and locations through an optional extension that may be offered. The travel program is open to current staff, faculty, retirees and their families and guests. Volunteers and others who are affiliated with the organization are also eligible to participate.

Faculty/Staff Meal Plans
JMU faculty, staff and affiliates qualify for Faculty/Staff Meal Plans that provide a top-notch lunch that’s affordably priced. A bundle of 15 meals costs $99—only $6.60/meal including sales tax. At the all-you-care-to-eat facilities (D-Hub, E-Hall, and Mrs. Greens), that’s 44% less than the door price! You’ll also get a great deal at PC Dukes, Top Dog, Festival, Bistro 1908 at SSC, Corner Bistro at Memorial Hall, Freshens Food Studio at UREC, Fueled and Nacho Papi Food Trucks, and Madison Grill, where a meal plan covers Duke Deal combos (considered one meal no matter the menu price), $7 meal equivalency ($7 toward a larger purchase), and double punching (using two meals at a time) at the food courts. You can pay for your meal plan by credit card, check or FLEX. Full-time JMU employees also can purchase a meal plan through payroll deduction. You may sign up for the F/S meal plan at the Card Services office.
