OFFICIAL RULES

1. The weight-loss competition will run for 6 weeks beginning February 1, 2017 and ending March 17, 2017. You must complete your initial weigh-in by February 3, 2017 to participate.

2. You may enter the competition as an individual or as part of a team. Teams may include up to 4 members.

3. Private weekly weigh-ins will be held at locations across campus:

  • Festival – 7:30 – 8:30 am - hall across from ballroom A / next to office 2001
  • USB – 9:30 – 10:00 am -  Office 207N
  • Wine Price – 8:30am – 5:00pm – 2nd floor

You must weigh-in on the same scale (at the same place) during the competition.

4. Weigh-ins are scheduled for the following dates/times:

  • 2/1/17 (at the kick-off)
  • 2/3/17
  • 2/10/17
  • 2/17/17
  • 2/24/17
  • 3/3/17
  • 3/10/17 - no weigh-in this date due to Spring Break
  • 3/17/17

5. Scoring is based on a percentage (not the number of pounds) of body weight lost per individual or per team.

6. Good attendance helps you stay on track towards meeting your weight-loss goal. You may miss up to THREE weigh-ins during the competition. Please note everyone MUST complete the initial weigh-in by 2/3/17 as well as the final weigh-in on 3/17/2017.

The purpose of this contest is to support your efforts to create a healthy weight-loss diet and exercise program and to establish patterns that you continue long after the contest is over. It is not intended to promote rapid weight loss! Please consult your physician if you have any health concerns before starting any diet or exercise plan.
