Dear JMU Community,

James Madison University is committed to making all programs, services and activities accessible to individuals with disabilities. We will always strive to provide reasonable accommodations and auxiliary aids for all students, faculty, staff and visitors. In doing this, we focus on these defining characteristics:

  • The university will be a diverse community whose members share a common JMU experience.
  • The university will provide a high level of service to all members of the JMU community.
  • The university's campus will be attractive, safe and friendly.

James Madison University is focused on fostering an environment of "All Together One". This means that we recognize each individual's unique characteristics, beliefs and strengths. We know that these individualities exist with the common goal of providing meaningful experiences for all students and employees. With this in mind, it is important that no qualified individual is excluded from participation in or denied the benefits of any University program, service, or activity on the basis of disability.

Sincerely,
Linwood H. Rose
