Adam Carpenter ('08): Freeman-Asia Program. Carpenter, who majored in psychology and completed a minor in Asian studies, participated in a JMU exchange program to Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan in the Fall 2007 semester. He has studied Japanese for two years and Chinese for one year. Upon returning to JMU, he established a Japanese interest club on campus. The Freeman-Asia Program supports American undergraduates who are planning to study overseas in East or Southeast Asia. (posted 3/11)
