Madison in the 1970s
In 2007 and 2008, students in Dr. Gabrielle Lanier's Introduction to Public History course began researching a group of nineteenth- and early twentieth-century children's books in JMU's Special Collections for an online exhibit. The volumes range from illustrated alphabet books to collections of fables, Bible stories, nursery rhymes, games, and fairy tales.

In Spring 2012, students in Dr. Meg Mulrooney's HIST 337: Local History Workshop course created six digital
exhibits that recreate the texture of campus life at JMU in the 1970s.
