Services and Fees
Services
The Health Center operates on an appointment based system. Students need to phone ahead (540.568.6178) to schedule an appointment. Some of the services offered have an additional fee associated with the service.
Fees
The "Health Fee" paid by students covers unlimited visits to the Health Center (please read the ELIGIBILITY information for clarification of your status). However, some services require a minimal fee. ALSO, if you are referred or go on your own to any outside healthcare provider, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for ALL charges incurred.

The Health Center accepts the following forms of payment:
- cash
- check, (make checks payable to JMU)
- FLEX (bring your JAC card)
- **MasterCard and Visa credit cards.
**University policy requires that the name on the credit card used for payment must be the same as the person signing the credit card payment.
Health Insurance Information
The JMU Health Center does NOT bill any insurance. An itemized statement for reimbursement is available at the end of every semester upon request. The Health Center is NOT a participating provider for any insurance.
