Founded in 1976, ANAD is the oldest national non-profit organization helping eating disorder victims and their families. In addition to its free hotline counseling, ANAD operates an international network of support groups for sufferers and families, and offers referrals to health care professionals, who treat eating disorders, across the U.S. and in fifteen other countries.
Our organization is dedicated to providing education, resources and support to those affected by eating disorders. Whether you are an individual living with an eating disorder, a family member or friend looking to offer support to a loved one, or a treatment professional looking to help others — we have structured our site to address your needs.
In bringing together entertainment and education with the hope of making the world just a bit nicer, the site now has everything from our original music for a good cause, art by others and by us and poetry by people suffering with depression, to a large comprehensive website on Eating Disorders and and area about the other causes we believe in.
