Academic Year Eligibility
Eligible for UHC Services
All JMU students who:
- Are ENROLLED for at least one credit hour
Further Eligibility Clarification During the Academic Year
Students NOT enrolled during the semester in which they want to receive services are still eligible if they meet all of the following requirements:
- Were enrolled during the previous semester (excluding May or summer sessions)
- Are currently enrolled in the next semester
- Have a current health record on file
- Students who meet the above requirements will have a $15 office visit
- Any lab fees incurred will be in addition to the office visit fee
Payment must be made by cash, check, FLEX or **MasterCard/VISA PRIOR to being seen for their scheduled appointment.
**University policy requires that the name on the credit card used for payment must be the same as the person signing the credit card payment.
NOT Eligible for UHC Services
- Former JMU students, JMU faculty and staff employees, regardless of classification.
- Individuals on campus for camps/programs/conferences
- Any student who is on academic or judicial suspension by the university during any academic session
Student Eligibility after graduation
Determines eligibility for those students who graduate in May
Requirements
- To receive health services, all eligible students must have a completed health record on file at the Health Center
- All students who graduate in May/December will be eligible for Health Center services until May/December 31st as a courtesy
- Any graduating student will need to pay an office visit fee to be seen during this period for any appointment reason
- All follow-up appointments, per provider, will not be charged an office visit fee
