Can I call for an appointment?

To make the best use of your time the Health Center operates on an all appointment based system. Please call 540.568.6178 to schedule an appointment. Walk-in students will need to schedule an appointment. The appointment time offered will be "next available".

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment and check in at the appropriate area. Please have your JAC card presented upon arrival. If you are 5 minutes late for your appointment you will need to reschedule your appointment for a later day/time.

If you are referred, or go on your own, to any outside health care provider, you are responsible for all charges incurred there.

Where do I park at the Health Center?

Parking is extremely limited, so you are encouraged to walk or take the bus. UHC does have 10 designated student patient spaces in the center section (facing Burruss Hall) of B lot. Please observe the signs that designate “ UHC Patients Only Permit Required”. You may park in the designated spot if you are a patient of UHC AND your vehicle is registered with campus parking. If you park in the designated spot, you will need to arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment and request a “temporary hanging permit” from UHC. Please have your vehicle license plate information and the state the plate is issued from ready upon check-in.

Can I cancel any appointment? How do I cancel an appointment?

Because of the high demand for the limited number of appointments available at UHC, it is very important that you keep your appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel it within 1 hour of your appointment time so that it may be used by another student. Cancellations may be made by calling the University Health Center at 540.568.6178. If you do not show up for your appointment you will be assessed a $25 No Show fee.
